Be a Light Scholarship

The Love Like Caroline Foundation is honored to establish the Dr. Leigh Caroline Reed “Be a Light” Scholarship, a $2,500 award for a graduating senior at Marion County High School who plans to pursue college, trade school, or another form of post-secondary education.

Caroline lived her life as a light to others—showing kindness, compassion, faith, and joy in every room she entered. This scholarship was created to honor her legacy and to encourage the next generation of students to carry that same spirit forward in their lives and communities.

We hope this scholarship supports a student who not only works hard toward their future, but also strives to lift others up along the way—just as Caroline did.

Students interested in applying or learning more about the scholarship can request application information through Marion County High School.

Award: $2,500 annually to a graduating senior from Marion County High School pursuing college, trade school, or post-secondary education.
